I think the more important thing to consider, for Democratic voters & donors & volunteers & c., is not how likely she is to win the primary — almost anything can happen in a large and chaotic field — but how likely she is to win in the general election.

In that light, her net favorable ratings among the general electorate are consistently bad, and she’s a sitting senator. Senators don’t do well as presidential candidates as a general rule, and since her other indications aren’t strong, there’s not much reason to believe she’s an exception.
